EDUVET is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project dedicated to modernising veterinary education, food safety and public health training in the Republic of Moldova.
As an EU candidate country, Moldova is actively aligning its higher education system with European standards, and EDUVET directly supports this national priority by strengthening curricula, infrastructure, and institutional capacity in line with EU requirements.
EDUVET addresses critical challenges facing veterinary education in Moldova, including outdated curricula, limited access to modern laboratories, and insufficient lifelong learning opportunities.
/01
Modernised, EU-aligned curricula integrating the One Health concept, which recognises the interdependence of human, animal, and environmental health;
/02
Advanced educational infrastructure, including upgraded laboratories and clinical training spaces that meet contemporary professional and regulatory standards;
/03
Lifelong Learning (LLL) programmes for veterinary specialists, public health professionals, and academic staff, enhancing employability and continuous upskilling;

Aligned with the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme and the CBHE Strand 3 priorities, EDUVET contributes to systemic reform at national and regional levels, institutional development within higher education institutions, and individual impact on students, teachers, researchers, and professionals.
By fostering collaboration between universities, public authorities, and international partners, the project supports Moldova’s integration into the European Higher Education Area and enhances resilience, quality, and international relevance in veterinary and public health education.
Through innovation, partnership, and a strong European added value, EDUVET is building a modern, competitive, and future-oriented veterinary education system that serves society, safeguards public health, and supports sustainable development.
